It never acts in a shy way. The Toy Poodle is active, alert and elegant. The tiny size and irresistible charm of Toy Poodles make one believe it is a live furry toy that everyone dreamt of getting as a Christmas present when s/he was a child.

Toy Poodles need much attention in terms of coat care. They should be washed a few times a month. A special shampoo is recommended. The one you use is not suited for the dog. Canines have a different pH-level. It is important not to overdo with washing. Extensive washing removes the natural oils from the skin of the dog and makes its coat dull.

Toy Poodles do not need much exercise. These little dogs can cover their needs during a short walk or play. Training and vigorous play will help to keep the dog fit. Toy Poodles are intelligent dogs and learn very quickly.
